Renana Raz is a multi-disciplinary artist. choreographer, dancer and an actress. her work is characterized by originality and innovation, as well as integration of various stage disciplines such as dance, theater, puppetry, documentary materials, video art and performance art. In her works, she examines the place and impact of the context, on the way the actual content is perceived by the audience. Many times she disconnects the content from it’s original place or context, and creates new and surprising connections. Her pieces always challenge and re-examine the interaction between shape and content, thus creating a variety of innovative formats.

YouMake ReMake is a unique and multi-disciplinary performance, consisting of artistic responses to YouTube videos, taking place on stage

During the show, the audience gets to see both the 'ReMake’ - and the original YouTube video, in either order and sometimes simultaneously. A chain of reactions and their 'original' muses is created onstage.

YouMake ReMake finds in YouTube an enormous source of inspiration: It is a gateway into an endless, rich and fascinating reservoir, containing almost anything one can imagine.

The ReMakes are not a mere replica, but rather a commentary which sheds a new light on the video. They change and manipulate the original video; They play with and display perceptions and contexts; They turn things inside-out and upside down and also raise bigger questions, such as: What is fine-art? What is inspiration? and How does context affect the way we experience art?

So what is YouMake ReMake?
It's a unique format. It's a
captivating, entertaining and thought provoking show.
Basically it is a form of
dialogue, where stage and web merge together and continue one another.

YouMake ReMake Kids,
a first of its kind
interdisciplinary show,
made especially for kids.

In this unique show the children, who know their way around the virtual YouTube space, discover a far more active and creative way of observing YouTube clips. a viewing which is very different from a passive viewing on a personal device. this innovative and fascinating new stage creation won public’s praise and received with great enthousiasme by the young audience.

What are the thoughts that are running through your head while running? When you run, are your thoughts being thought faster or slower? When I run, do I influence the way my thoughts are being thought? Is it possible that thoughts go to a certain direction when you run and would have gone elsewhere if we were to stay in place? The Hearing | In a room with white walls and a conference table, behind closed doors, four characters come together.

They have all been ‘stars’ in the drama that unsettled the Israeli public in 2014; When Adam Verete, a teacher for Judaism studies in Ort Tiv’on High school, was called to a hearing prior to dismissal, because of a letter sent by his student Sapir Sabah to the Minister of Education. In that letter, she claimed he was expressing in class “opinions of extreme left wing” and “goes against the state”.

‘WART’ is the meeting point between the two edges of the human consciousness: war and creation.

It is the process of creating an alternative reality, consisting of images and elements identified with war, decontextualizing them, creating a new syntax for them, and placing them in a new, fantastic and good world. The world created wishes to extricate reality from itself, and convert the contemporary into the eternal, the automatic into the unpredictable and turn ugliness into beauty. Everything taking place in ‘WART’ resonates as an echo to reality, yet is not obliged by its codes. In uninhibited sequences, wild and imagined, in the shadow of the horror taking place outside, a new plot is being weaved.
